If the serial # on the unit is before 3691548, you must use this retrofit kit. After serial# 3691548 use this 0D4522 stepper only.
Regulates engine speed on generators with electronic governors. Replaces bad stepper motors. Can be tested using quality digital multi-meter before replacement. If the gears are stripped inside the small gearbox, check for overloaded condition on the generator.
