Refund policy

Warranty

 

Parts that are shipped out of the country have NO manufacturer’s warranty or warranty of any kind.
The manufacturer’s warranty in most cases ONLY applies if the parts are installed by a factory authorized dealer in good standing with the manufacturer of the part(s). In no circumstances will Gentek Power LLC offer a warranty of any kind on parts we sell, as we are not the manufacturer(s), but a dealer for the manufacturer(s). If you choose to purchase and install parts without an authorized dealer performing the work, you do so at your own risk. Should you have a problem with a part that you purchased from us, always reach out and we will do everything we can to troubleshoot the issue and make it right.

 

Cancellations

 

You may cancel an order until the order is processed for shipping. Once the item is in the shipping process, a canceled order may incur re-stocking or shipping fees if we must recall a shipment. We generally ship items same or next day, so the window to cancel is short. If you aren’t sure which part you need, please ask for help so that we can assist. If an item is canceled after it ships, charges will be discussed, and the refund may take up to 2 weeks to be seen on your credit card or other payment method.

 

Shipping Damage

 

Items leave our warehouses in perfect condition. Shipping damage is rare but can happen. If the item shipped via freight and the item is damaged, you should refuse the shipment so that we can get a replacement sent out. If you accept and/or sign for the damaged item without inspecting, it will be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make a claim with the shipping company to try and get reimbursed.
If you receive a package with damage that didn’t require signing, please let us know immediately so that we can issue a replacement and arrange to have the damaged item shipped back to us. Pictures of the damage will be requested in most cases. If the damaged items are not shipped back within a reasonable amount of time, we may charge you the full amount of the replacement items as well.

 

Returns

 

Unfortunately, due to the volume in cases of ‘troubleshooting with parts’, we generally do not offer returns on most parts we sell. If for some reason you do have an issue and need to return a part, the item must be new, unopened, and include all the original packaging and paperwork. Opened, installed, used & otherwise not brand-new items will not be returned. If you feel that the item was damaged in shipping, defective for some reason, or otherwise, please contact us. We want to make sure that you get your equipment back up and running as soon as possible and will make every attempt to make the order correct or refund the order less any charges that may apply. Please be aware that while we offer ‘Free Shipping’ we are still paying the shipping companies to ship your items. We may hold the actual shipping charges as part of the restocking fees.
If you ordered the wrong part, the part can be returned in new, uninstalled condition, however there will be re-stocking fees and shipping charges taken from the return amount. In some cases where the parts were drop shipped, the re-stocking fees can be as high as 50%. We have no control over this, as the manufacturers charge us what they deem as necessary. If you have questions about which parts you need, please ask BEFORE ordering the parts, so that we can assist in getting the correct parts the first time.
The return period is 30 days from the date of order. If you opt to return an item for any reason, you must contact us prior to the return to get authorization to return the item. In most cases you will be charged a re-stocking fee as well as be responsible for the return shipping. If the item was drop shipped from a manufacturer, we reserve the right to hold your return refund until we have received the refund from the manufacturer. We recommend using a shipping service with tracking and insurance to return items. If the return item is lost in shipping, damaged, or otherwise not in new condition and unsellable, we may choose not to refund the item, in which case you will have the option to have the original (returned) item shipped back to you at your cost. Some items are not returnable such as electronic/electrical items, special order items, digital download items including owner’s manuals and diagnostic manuals, used or opened items.
